We recently announced the launch of SendGrid Marketing Campaigns, our full-featured email marketing service. Marketing Campaigns provides users with powerful segmentation, a flexible campaign-building interface, responsive email templates and editor, and much more. In our commitment to continuous improvement, we’re excited to share some recent enhancements within Marketing Campaigns that we think you’ll love!

Getting social is easier

Adding social buttons to your emails just got a lot easier with our new social drag & drop feature in Marketing Campaigns. Simply drag the social module to your content and you’ll see buttons for Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Google+, and Pinterest. Customize everything from icon size, shape, and color, and easily add your custom links. Only want to include one or two icons? Simply uncheck the box for social sites you’d like to exclude.

Avoid personalization pitfalls

We’re big believers in personalizing your content; it shows you care, and it boosts engagement. But what if you don’t have the personalization info you want for everyone on your list? With our new default value feature for tags, you can tell Marketing Campaigns what to use when a particular tag is blank. For example, by adding a default value to your tag: [%first_name | there%], “Hi Susan!” can become “Hi there!” if you don’t have a first name.

Test up to 10 addresses

Testing is a critical part of the campaign building process. Getting input from your teammates and testing across devices, browsers, and inbox providers are all great ways to make sure your content goes out as you intend. To help you test more efficiently, we’ve added the ability to send to 10 unique email addresses at once in the campaign settings tab.

Improved engagement clarity

In response to great feedback from Marketing Campaigns users, we’re no longer including clicks on unsubscribe links in click metrics. From now on, all click reports are measuring desired behavior, while the unsubscribe metric will inform you of any troubling trends. Users may see a drop in overall click rates when this is implemented, but it’s not a bad thing.
