Google Releases New Compliance Dashboard

In the months since Google and Yahoo released their new list of sender requirements, many senders have been looking for one place to be able to check and make sure they are compliant with each requirement. Thanks to Google, that dashboard now exists!

Google released its new compliance dashboard within Google Postmaster. Historically, within Google Postmaster, you have been able to monitor the spam rate, domain reputation, etc, for each of your domains or subdomains. Now, with the new compliance dashboard, you have the ability to see which of the new sender requirements are being met or not being met.

The full list of included requirements are:

  1. Having SPF and DKIM authentication set up and passing

  2. Having a DMARC record in place (if you send more than 5,000 messages per day)

  3. Using TLS encryption

  4. Keeping your spam complaint rate under 0.3%

  5. DNS records (reverse and forward DNS).

Although not populating results yet, two more requirements are also included: one-click unsubscribe and honoring unsubscribes). The one-click unsubscribe requirement deadline was pushed back to June 1, 2024. The one-click unsubscribe is also only necessary if you send more than 5,000 messages a day.

Although the new list of requirements went into effect on February 1, 2024, Google shared that they won’t start rejecting mail that does not meet the requirements until April 2024. If you need any assistance meeting these requirements, our Expert Services team is here to help.
