Together, these executives bring a wealth of leadership experience and domain expertise to SendGrid from their prior roles at rapidly growing, publicly traded technology companies.

As SendGrid’s Chief Product Officer, Steve Sloan is responsible for leading product strategy, UI/UX, and the development of SendGrid’s product roadmap. Prior to joining SendGrid, Steve led Marketo’s global product organization including engineering, product management, UI/UX, developer evangelism and data center operations. While at Marketo, Steve introduced the company’s mobile strategy and next generation technology platform. Previously, Steve worked at Amazon, where he led product management for one of AWS’s emerging services and helped open the Silicon Valley development center.

Scott Heimes serves as SendGrid’s Chief Marketing Officer, where he is responsible for extending SendGrid’s brand, driving demand for its products and services and leading overall marketing operations. Scott oversees marketing, demand generation, corporate communications, partnerships & alliances and SendGrid’s community development team. Before joining SendGrid, Scott was the Chief Marketing Officer of Digital River, where he led marketing, communications, strategy and partnerships and managed Digital River’s marketing services businesses including the company’s direct-response marketing agency and its BlueHornet email service provider. Prior to joining Digital River, Scott was the Chief Marketing Officer for WebMD Health Services, where he ran the company’s marketing, product management, business development and long-term strategic planning. In prior positions, Scott served as a senior marketing executive at OptumHealth, a UnitedHealth Group company; Target Corporation and Target.com.
