Today’s stocking stuffer is a must watch for everyone on your holiday email list this year. It’s our Delivery Panel Power Hour and comes to you courtesy of our Email Delivery Team. This fall, we asked the community to submit any questions they had about email deliverability for our delivery experts to answer live. Questions ranged from: “Why does the mail I send to AOL account trigger spam reports at a much higher rate than other inbox providers?” to “What effect do people who opt-out from email have on my deliverability?” Kurt, Luke, Seth, and Jacob answered every question and added some bonus tips to boot. So if you’ve ever had questions about how to make it to the inbox or how requirements vary by ISP, this webcast is your answer. Why this is a gift: We all know that sometimes as hard as we try to be as compliant and vigilant as possible, we can run into delivery issues. Getting blacklisted, throttled, or sent to the spam folder can be a real downer to your holiday celebrations. There may have been honest mistakes that you made in 2016 that you want to avoid in 2017, so listening to these tips can be a way to do that. And on a personal note, this is one of my favorite content assets from this year. It can be hard to keep up with all of the changes in the email industry, so even after being in email at SendGrid for 4 years, I have questions. This resource helped to clear up any ambiguity and was a great refresher as well. How you can use it: This webcast is broken out into 5 distinct sections: General delivery Authentication/infrastructure Email metrics Reputation Top 5 delivery team takeaways So, if you have a question about one area of email infrastructure or deliverability in particular, you can jump right to it. The team also dives into the tenants of email delivery and user interaction. How do you start off a relationship with your subscriber? (Hint: setting proper expectations and have a clear opt-in process!) How do you build a relationship with them to ensure that they stay engaged with your email and convert to long-lasting customers? (Think providing valuable content, offers, and being mindful of your sending frequency.) Finally, when is it time to end a relationship with a subscriber, or for them to end it with you? (Hint: do you have a sunset policy in place and do you know the benefits of unsubscribing?) All of these answers and more await you in this fun stocking stuffer. Any time we get our Delivery team into one room, it’s always a good and educational time, so I hope you enjoy this webcast as well as the rest of the stocking stuffers we’ve shared so far this December!
