We are enthusiastic to announce that SendGrid is a featured launch partner selected by Microsoft for inclusion in its Windows Azure Store. The Windows Azure cloud platform is widely used to build and deliver innovative web applications to customers. Many of these applications rely on transactional email to confirm registrations, process order purchases or send friend or follower requests. By using SendGrid as part of the Windows Azure Store, developers can avoid the complexity of maintaining a proprietary transactional email solution and the cost of assigning developer resources to manage it.

SendGrid’s inclusion as part of the Windows Azure Store empowers developers to use SendGrid directly from their Windows Azure environment with unified billing and custom documentation libraries, making transactional email management simple and easy for Windows Azure developers.

If you are a Microsoft Windows Azure customer, follow these steps to access SendGrid’s email service:

  1. Go to https://manage.windowsazure.com/ (login required)
  2. In the lower pane of the management portal, click New.
  3. Click Store.
  4. In the Choose an Add-on dialog, select SendGrid and click the right arrow.
  5. In the Personalize Add-on dialog select the SendGrid plan you want to sign up for.
