AndroidTM users, rejoice! Our SendGrid mobile app is now available on Google PlayTM. Perhaps no one is more excited about this news than our Product Manager, Keanon O’Keefe. Keanon helped with the release of our app for iPhone last year and, as an Android user, he couldn’t wait to access his SendGrid account from his own phone.

To tell you more about the app, I sat down with Keanon to get the inside scoop:

Q: Who builds mobile apps at SendGrid?

A: Believe it or not, our Support Engineers built our mobile applications for both iPhone and Android. Since they spend so much time talking to our customers, they really understand their pains and needs on-the-go. In particular, I had the pleasure of working with Andrei Stangacianu throughout this project and I believe we were able to provide something that will help customers more easily monitor and troubleshoot their sending via their favorite devices.

Q: What are the key features of the app?

A: You’ll find that we have feature parity across the apps for iPhone and Android. Here are a few of my favorites:

  • View and search real-time delivery metrics (clicks, opens, bounces, etc.)
  • Manage unsubscribes and suppression lists
  • Search and troubleshoot by email address
  • Drill down to view subuser accounts

Q: How do you hope customers use this application?

A: If your business relies on email, like so many do, you want to be able to access your key delivery and engagement metrics at the drop of a hat. Also, if your recipient has a question about your email, you want to be able to get to the bottom of it right away. This Android app puts all of that power into the hands of our customers, all on their favorite device. Now, customers are empowered to access and analyze data whenever they want.

I’m proud of what our team has built for our customers. It really gives you what you need to monitor your account on-the-go.

Download the SendGrid app on Google Play for Android phones or on the App Store® for iPhones—and review our user guide for more details.

Note: The app does not support sending—a function most effective within the web-based account dashboard or through integration with our APIs. Also, the Android application is currently only available to U.S. Customers. It will be available internationally soon.
