Gut Check: Who Are You Emailing?

Best Practices, Email Marketing

Our latest SlideShare, “Who Are You Emailing?” serves as a quick gut check for marketers to make sure they remember the people on the other end of email addresses.

We’ve all received unsolicited email, and whether the intention of the sender was to spam anyone or not, think of how it made you feel. It was likely off-putting and annoying.  Is that the first impression you want your recipients to have with your brand?

What if you end up getting tired of receiving email from a certain sender, but you cannot, for the life of you, find a way to unsubscribe? It can be infuriating and also quickly encourages you or any recipient to find an alternative brand to engage with.

The inbox is a place where manners definitely matter, and your behavior can quickly determine if you will be invited for another visit or if you’ll be asked to leave (with a not-so-subtle unsubscribe).
