Being skeptical at first about Listia made me hesitant to join, but now, I couldn't be happier that I signed up. I have met some wonderful people and have been given many needed smiles. But the one thing that I appreciate most about Listia is not only that I have received many friendships and items, but with those items, I have been able to strengthen my relationship with my father. My father has been a long time coin and banknote collector and I absolutely loved every time he would bring out his collection and show me all of the fascinating things he has gathered over his years. With the economy and his work schedule taking a turn for the worst for our family, it has been harder for him to collect; and I have rarely seen him bring out his coins and notes for the past few years. I started talking to my father about the different coins and notes on Listia and that I was starting a collection of my own. I started to see the smiles and that old coin box of his appear more and more and I couldn't be happier. Every time I win a coin or note auction I'll excitedly tell my father what I had won and that will start a conversation about his coins and all the stories I loved to hear when looking through his collection over the years; and at times, even lead to his practical jokes. Thank you so much Listia, and thank you to those who I have crossed paths with in my Listia journey. You all have strengthened a father and daughter's relationship, and have made me smile more times than I can count. Thanks for all of the good times, and the good times to come.
